Set in wonderful surroundings Easterbrook Hall is one of the most ideal ukulele festival venues Scotland has to offer. An amazing auditorium and dedicated workshop rooms with breakout and restaurant area. There is ample dedicated free parking and even a hotel in the grounds.

The Crichton estate consisting 100 acres of parkland, houses all the venues for our event. The buildings are interconnected with paved pathways, which means navigating the entire festival site is very easy. Situated in stunning award winning gardens there will be plenty of lovely space for impromptu jams. Bring a picnic blanket!

Best of all our events and activities are all on the same site …

… minimal walking – more time for music!

Why Dumfries? We hear you asking. Well, apart from the fact that we live here, we have a hotspot of ukulele players who are chomping at the bit to be a part of the festival. Plus Dumfries and Galloway is big on festivals including; the Wickerman Festival, the Eden Festival, Kirkcudbright Jazz Festival, Moniave Michaelmas Festival, Moniave folk festival, Dalbeattie Folk Festival, etc. The other thing that makes Dumfries great is that it’s easy to access from the rest of the UK. For example; If you come up the M6 (which is relatively quiet after you clear Manchester) you turn left as soon as you get to Scotland, just after Gretna and Dumfries is only 30 minutes drive! There are good road, rail and ferry links.

Examples of journey times include:

Glasgow 1.30 hour/minutes
Edinburgh 1.58
Dundee 2.40
Newcastle 1.48
Carlisle 40 mins
Manchester 2.30
London 4.20
Liverpool 2.40
North Wales 2.45
Belfast 4.26

Please note if you are interested we may put on return coaches leaving, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Newcastle – Friday 5.30pm approx. Returning Sunday 5.30pm approx. Possible costs for this range from £20-25 if we get enough interest on facebook we will do it!
